Red cloth cover with gilt decorations and lettering in red, black and gilt.Some slight wear to cover including top and bottom of the spine. Gilt is fresh. Front-paste down has previous book-seller's label. Front paste-down has an inscription relating to a gift for for the New Year possibly December 1876 (see photo above). Some very slight foxing to early and last pages with some slight browning to pages otherwise.Gilt edges to text-block. On rear paste-down, binder's label, which is "Leighton son and Hodge". Overall a very good+ copy.
