Jonah by Louis Stone. This book was first published in 1911 in London and was republished in this format in 1933 by Endeavour Press. It is considered a minor Australian master-piece by many. It is unusual to see it with its striking illustration (by Norman Lindsay) on the dust-wrapper and even more so signed by the author. The signature is identical to one in a letter signed by Stone now in the National Library of Australia. The DW has chips around the edges and the lower part of the wrapper on the spine and a portion of the back have a water stain which is faintly visible on a small part of the front. The pages are lightly browned throughout. 298 pps., 190x130x30. It is wrapped in a non-adhesive polypropylene wrapper.
