Lord Jim by Joseph Conrad. Published by Blackwood and Sons in 1900. This is a first edition, first first issue. There is a half-title page, 451 pages with no publisher's catalogue at the back. All recognised typos are present: on page 77, line 5 the word "anyrate" is present, page 226 7 lines from the bottom the word "keep" is omitted after "can" and in the same line there is the word "cure" instead of "cured and finally on page 319 the word "his" is printed below the line on the bottom line. The cover shows some slight wear to the edges and some very slight soiling. There is a book-plate inside the front-cover, shown in the photos. There is some light foxing throughout, most obvious on the early and last pages. The page edges are browned. The binding is tight. Overall a very good copy.
