Published by Hodder and Stoughton The spine has been rebacked (see photo) with a repaired crack on it. The gilt decoration and lettering are in good condition and the green cloth cover otherwise shows slight wear. The end-papers are illustrated as shown in the photo.The coloured, tipped-in illustrations are in good condition (some foxing on their blank, backs) with clean tissue paper coverings . There is some slight browning to the pages and the binding is tight. Overall a very good copy
