Also some slight wear to top and bottom of spine with slightly bumped corners.Original black end-papers with sympathetic repair by a professional to the slightly cracked hinges (see photo above).Gilt edges to pages. Previous owner's name on verso of fronts-piece. Some light scattered browning. Some slight yellowing near the internal edge of title page visible in photo. Numerous  small and full page (12) illustrations by H.J. Ford. Overall in very good condition.
