Green cloth cover with gilt text and illustration on the front. The gilt appears worn off the lettering on the spine. The spine has a small tear at the top as shown in the photo and slight wear at the bottom. The cover otherwise shows some slight wear only. The end-papers have some obvious foxing and there is some foxing through the book (a few of the pages only have some moderate foxing) . There are ten very clean Simes black and white illustrations. The pages are rough-cut and as usual browned on their edges. The binding is very good. Overall a good to very good copy.
